About This Spot

Villa Pinar Cuban Cafeteria settles into the heart of Summerfield like a cherished neighborhood refuge where time slows just enough to savor familiar flavors and the warmth of genuine hospitality. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels comfortably unpretentious — a rhythmic hum of conversations, the inviting warmth of Cuban coffee in the air, and the steady, welcoming pace of a family-run spot that knows its neighbors by name.

This is a place where the food and the people create a shared experience that feels both nourishing and rooted in tradition. The cafeteria-style setup invites you to linger, choosing from an array of dishes that feel lovingly prepared, each bite a little story of home. The aromas of slow-cooked meats, fragrant spices, and freshly baked pastries mingle with laughter and the occasional clink of coffee cups, crafting a sensory rhythm that’s both relaxing and uplifting.

Visitors often find comfort in returning here—not just for the hearty, soulful dishes like the richly seasoned stews or the comforting sides of rice, beans, and plantains, but for the gentle familiarity of faces behind the counter who greet each guest with a smile and a readiness to share a slice of their culture. Whether you’re settling in for a casual lunch or picking up a comforting takeout, the experience carries a sense of homecoming that lingers well beyond the last sip of cafecito.

For those discovering Villa Pinar for the first time, expect a pace that’s unhurried, an atmosphere anchored in warmth, and a culinary tradition that invites you to taste the layers of Cuban soul food—subtle yet bold, simple yet deeply satisfying.

Great food, super friendly staff. The owners are always here, and the food is top-notch. There is a wide variety of delectable dishes, so don't go expecting tacos or nachos. Try the ropa vieja or the ox tail and rice. My 2 favorites. The con gris rice is a nice base for the main dish. Don't forget a tasty treat like a quesito or other pastry. I have been eating here since they opened several years ago and drive across the state for a visit once in a while.

Best food in Marion County hands down. Best empanada I have ever eaten. Please eat here. This is the best Cuban food maybe in central Florida

Relaxing atmosphere with plenty of seating. When you first walk in you're greeted right away and the food is right there, hot and ready. It's cafeteria style, so you choose what goes on your plate, and choose I did - white rice, red beans, yuca (casava) and that ox tail was calling me! The lady was so nice and not only did she cover my plate with the juice from the ox tail when I requested it, but she carried this mountain of a plate to my table for me. The serving was HUGE and it didn't disappoint - authentic and delicious When the nice lady informed me that the empanadas were cooked to order, that was my "dessert" - they fried up a beef empanada right away and that was HUGE too. Btw, they do have desserts - I just couldn't eat any more A+++

This is one of those place that you’ll keep going back. I don’t live in Florida but so far I have been twice. The food is to die for, homemade, weeeeell seasoned, tasty and huge portions. It’s a family owned business and they very nice people. Must go.

The food is absolutely incredible. This was our first time eating in; we usually order takeout, which is always phenomenal, but dining there made it even better. My husband and I consider Villa Pinar true “soul food.”

We went for a great Cuban sandwich and came back 2 days later for another! Portions are very generous. Service was quick but very friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Delicious! Party of 3 all got different things and everything tasted amazing. Clean area and clean restrooms, fast service, and spacious air conditioned seating. They have natural juices as well that were delicious too. They have a They serve you in plates or there is an option for to go containers. I really appreciate that if you get your food plated, they have self serve to go boxes as well. Nice touch! Not sure how people give less than 5 stars… I’ll definitely be coming back.
